In her own words...

My name is Julie, I live in Hammersmith and have a 20 year old son. I have just completed and passed OCN Level 3 youth work course. I have been working as a voluntary youth worker with My Generation since April 2009. I help out in the regular Job Club where young people and adults drop by for help with preparing their CV's, looking for skilled training courses, job searches, benefit queries and communication skills.

Before that I was helping out in the Skills and Learning Centre at Fulham Football Club where young people from the local area come in after School to do English and Maths activities and stadium tours learning about the Football Club.

In her own words...

Having read an inspirational article by Shaun in November 2004 I wrote to him and asked if there was anything I could do to help and so I started helping him with the embryonic Job Club. Shaun was working with the Blenheim at that point and it wasn't until September 2006 that he broke away and started MyGeneration. I haven't been able to be with the charity throughout its life but was able to start on a permanent basis about a year ago.

I have four children, now grown up, and 3 grandchildren. I have qualifications in Art and History of Art and passed a course on history which I used when acting as a guide. I enjoy reading, cinema and theatre and take pleasure in visiting art galleries.
